The Inner Wheel emblem is a small wheel contained with in the Rotary Wheel and hence the name “Inner Wheel” highlighting our close association with Rotary. The wheel is universally seen as a symbol of Progress
It represents movement, mobility, change, action, time, unity, completeness, justice and perfection. We generally speak of the wheel of time, the wheel of fortune, the wheel of life and the wheel of love.
The circular motion of the wheel as symbol of International Inner Wheel depicts continuous ‘service’ and ever-expanding ‘friendship’. The Inner Wheel consists of two gear wheels, one inside the other, with six spokes radiating outward from the centre hub. The outside teeth represent clubs around the world.
The six spokes represent officers and service committees. The dot in the middle is the individual member who is most crucial to the movement.
