The first Inner Wheel District, No. 5, was born in England.

The first overseas Inner Wheel Club was born in Ballarat, Australia.

May 6th. The Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland came into being.

It was decided to mark the occasion of a club’s formation by granting a certificate of membership which is now called “Charter”.

The first overseas Inner Wheel District “The Netherland District” was formed. The same was later numbered as Dist. 26.

The International Inner Wheel 1st Conference was held at Brighton, England was formed and Ms.L.Weightman became the first President of International Inner Wheel.

Mrs. Malati Rana was appointed the first I.I.W.R. to represent our country on the International Board

International Inner Wheel is recognised by the United Nations as a Non-Government Organisation (NGO).

The Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India and Sri Lanka was born. Raksha Mehta was the first President Of the Association.
