1905

Paul Harris started the first Rotary Club in Chicago USA.
1924

Jan. 10th. The first Inner Wheel Club was formed in Manchester, England by Ms.Oliver Golding with Ms.Nixon as Secretary. The day is observed as International Inner Wheel Day.
1928

The first Inner Wheel District, No. 5, was born in England.
1931

The first overseas Inner Wheel Club was born in Ballarat, Australia.
1934

May 6th. The Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in Great Britain and Ireland came into being.
1936

It was decided to mark the occasion of a club’s formation by granting a certificate of membership which is now called “Charter”.
1948

The first overseas Inner Wheel District “The Netherland District” was formed. The same was later numbered as Dist. 26.
1955

The first Inner Wheel Club in India was formed in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
1965

The first Inner Wheel District in India was formed with Ms. Asma Mascati as the Founder Chairman under the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs of G.B.I. This District at first was numbered 75, later on as Dist.305.
1967

The International Inner Wheel 1st Conference was held at Brighton, England was formed and Ms.L.Weightman became the first President of International Inner Wheel.
1968-1970

Mrs. Malati Rana was appointed the first I.I.W.R. to represent our country on the International Board
1970

The first International Inner Wheel convention was held at the Hague, Netherland.
1973

International Inner Wheel is recognised by the United Nations as a Non-Government Organisation (NGO).
1976

The Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India and Sri Lanka was born. Raksha Mehta was the first President Of the Association.
1977
- The first Conference of the Association in India was held in Bombay, Maharashtra.
- July Dist. 319 was formed with 12 Inner Wheel Clubs.
1985

Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are no longer a part of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India.
1986

Mrs.Minna Kapur, Past President of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, is the first lady from India to be elected as the President of International Inner Wheel (1986-87).
1993

International Inner Wheel of Port Blair is the first Inner Wheel Club in the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands which was added to the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India in Dist.329.

- Mrs.Anita Agarwal, a Past President of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, is the second lady from India to be elected as the President of International Inner Wheel
- The highest number of new Inner Wheel Clubs were formed (i.e., 50 clubs) during.
- Mrs. Kamala Ramakrishnan was the first lady from India to be elected as the Editor of International Inner Wheel.
2007-2008

Mrs. Kamala Ramakrishnan, a Past President of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, is the third lady from India to be elected as the President of International Inner Wheel.

- Dr. Pallavi Shah, a Past President of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, is the fourth lady from India to be elected as the President of International Inner Wheel
- Mrs. Gomathi Viswanathan, a Past President of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, is the second lady from India to be elected as the Editor of International Inner Wheel.

- Mrs Shailaja Bhat became the Association Constitution and Credential Committee Chairman

Abha Gupta, a Past President of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, is the fifth lady from India to be elected as the President of International Inner Wheel.

- Past Association President Gomathi Viswanathan was elected the Association CCCC.
- Past Association President Azhagu Annamalai elected Treasurer of International Inner Wheel for the year.
2017-2018

Past Association President Dr. Kapila Gupta, a Past President of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, is the sixth lady from India to be elected as the President of International Inner Wheel.
2020-2021

Dr. Bina Vyas, a Past President of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, is the seventh lady from India to be elected as the President of International Inner Wheel.
2021-2022

Mrs. Sarita Lunani is elected as the International InnerWheel Treasurer.
