Spitting in public is a nuisance and is now a finable offense. It has been established that spitting spreads diseases, especially Covid -19 and TB.  Indians certainly needed a diktat on this in order to imbibe people with civic sense, especially during a Pandemic. To spread awareness against spitting in public, on the 7th of August ’21, IWCBITC supported RBITC in the ‘Stop India Spitting’ campaign. This campaign was initiated by an NGO in Pune in collaboration with Odette Katrak (co-founder of Beautiful Bharat in Bengaluru).

IWCBITC members gathered at allocated spots in Whitefield and held posters to create awareness about this avoidable, ugly and unhygienic practice.
