IWC Bangalore. For the festival on Makara Sankranthi, Team North comprising of 36 members, donated new cotton sarees specially purchased from Tirpur  to the tribal women “Jenukurubas” and distributed to 4 hamlets who live deep in the forests of Bandipur, Karnataka. Jenukurubas are honey gatherers and help in controlling forest fires their needs are plenty.
As special permits are required to enter these tiger reserve areas we  sought the help of Taluku Girigana Abhivridhi Sangha to help us in distributing the sarees.
It was so heart touching to receive thanking voice messages from these happy tribal women.
