Innerwheel Club of Bangalore JP Nagar conducted awareness talk on ” Why Menstrual Cups and Zero Waste Management “ , to the students of VET College along with our link Club IWCB South West , as Joint Project.
Speaker: Dr. Shanthi Tummala
She has 10 years of on-ground experience in the field of solid waste management, she is an active member of SWMRT, Bangalore and currently working with Saahas as a project consultant. As a personal project also working to help 3000 women in the state of Telangana make the switch to sustainable menstrual products through awareness sessions and workshops.
She has received the Kempe Gowda award and Karnataka Women Achievers’ award for her tireless contribution in this domain. A link to one of her TED talks is attached below.
