A Peep into the Triennial Conference
The 16th Triennial Conference ENVISION was held in the holy city of Varanasi under the leadership of our Association President Mrs. Saroj Katiyar.The apt motto THINK IMPLEMENT ACHIEVE said it all and the members were set on the same path.
Our District 319 participated in the same under the leadership of our District Chairman Mrs. Veena Niranjan.
The Conference started on 11th April with the Registration team who meticulously gave the kits to all the members.
The day started with the auspicious ceremony of lighting of the lamp, Inner Wheel Prayer.and a friendly by the Association Dignitaries headed by our Association President Mrs. Saroj Katiyar. District ISO’s Meet – where each ISO walked the ramp as a Queen, This not only enthralled the audience but was a sight to see the graceful Queens speaking of their own legacy.
This was followed by the District Editors’ meet where the District Editors walked the ramp in royal blue with their souvenirs, bulletins and newsletters each standing proudly for their work at the District.
A flag parade by Association council member Suma Prafulla and District Chairman Veena was one of the keyt highlights. This year has been a record for the publishing work on the IIW and the Association websites as our Association proudly spoke about it.
This was followed by the keynote address by film maker Tisca Chopra and a political scion Anupriya Patel who gave a power packed address and raised the self esteem and confidence of all the delegates. This will be cherished down the memory lane
The evening was truly entertaining by the famous singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya who set the stage on fire with his melodious voice and women rocked and danced through the evening.
The next day started with a photo session followed by the business session which was split across two days .Association President Mrs. Saroj Katiyar and Constitution and Credential Committee Chairman Past Association President Mrs. Rashmi Sharma chaired the Business Session. The Bye Law days were updated by voting, debates and constructive discussions and vigorous brainstorming followed by the voting by the voting delegates present. Past District Chairman Mrs. Meena Amblee and Past District Chairman Suma Ravi were designated scribes and teller respectively. The stewards, the scribes and the tellers did their work judiciously and were applauded for the same. The beauty of this was each delegate stood to their opinions and were happy with the fair changes in the bye laws.
The cultural evening was an evening when each district presented the festivals of their states with skits, dances and lovely decorated props.Our District presented ‘Ugadi Pachadi’ a musical skit compered by members under the able guidance of our District Secretary Mrs. Rekha Sridhar
On the last day before the business session a Para sports athlete the pride of our country Shweta Sharma – the shotput and javelin champion gave her speech and spoke about how determination and inner strength can lead women to do wonders. She was honored and Past International Inner Wheel President Anita Agarwal very rightly said “ When a Women honors a women it is the greatest form of respect”. The vote of thanks was given by Association Vice President Mrs. Surjit Kaur.
The Kathak dance with its tapping feet by Vidha Lal and the Jugalbandhi gave the finest finesse to the programme
The food on each day was a lavish spread of local as well as continental dishes and sumptuous variety of dessert which left people happy.
Fellowship – an important part of the Triennial was conducted by our District’s Convenor Vice President Mrs.Vinutha Harish by arranging a trip to the historical city of Varanasi.The members enjoyed taking clicks and selfies and had lovely darshans at various temples in the holy city. The boat ride on the Ganges and the Ganga aarti were the key highlights.
The time to say adieu was not far and people left happily shopping in the bazaars……. And bid a goodbye to their friends as the bonds had not only formed across clubs but at all hierarchies which will be always fondly remembered.
